About the Talk:  This presentation will be an interactive case study.  The case will tell the story of Tony Adams, Sr. and Angela Adams.  Tony and Angela have been married for forty years and they have three children, Tony Adams, Jr., Rose Gray, and Michael Adams.  Tony Adams, Sr. is the sole shareholder of a business and Angela is a stay-at-home mom.  Their son, Tony, Jr., works for the business.  The business, Adams Family Enterprises, has been a successful company but has been experiencing conflict among the senior management and a decline in sales.  In addition to the business and their own personal lives, Tony, Sr. and Angela pay some of Angela's mother's expenses and Michael's expenses.  Recently, Tony Sr. has been noticing some health issues, but tends to put those matters to the side and focus more on the business matters at hand.

This program will address a variety of topics of interest to advisors from all disciplines serving clients that own closely-held businesses, including retirement planning, business succession planning, estate equalization, estate planning, long-term care insurance, key person business concerns, and health insurance matters.  The content and format will combine to increase your technical knowledge and your practice management skills when working with clients that have family businesses.  In addition, the program will provide a look into the importance of individuals from multiple disciplines working together to provide for the needs of a client.
